Hi everyone!

Big thanks to those who made a show this week, it's been a good one. The Barr Brothers were great on Tuesday and Black Yaya's completely unplugged set on Thursday was total magic. Hopefully we'll have both back for more one day in the future.

We've added a load of support acts to out forthcoming shows in the autumn recently. Leeds' Maggie8 return to action to play with The Wave Pictures at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds later this month alongside ace Wakey slackers Piskie Sits who have a new album coming out in October and were also recent session guests of Marc Riley. It wasn't to be missed anyway!

Back in York, Sam Forrest, Garry Bean and Marck Ck will be opening for Bill Ryder-Jones on the 12th. Groves, featuring two members of the mighty Azuma Vega, and Dead Bird are playing with The Telescopes on the 24th. Both Those shows are in The Duchess.

Further down the line we're delighted to have the wonderful Rozi Plain back in town supporting Robyn Hitchcock, also at The Duchess. As if that wasn't going to be good enough.

Same venue, but not until Nov. 25th, Euros Childs is bringing Laura J Martin with him. Laura played in Jonny with Euros and Norman Blake and has made one cracking solo record already and has another due for release in October. Quirky, out-there, prog-infused wonderfulness promised. Opening are ace Scottish power-pop duo The Wellgreen who backed Euros in The Basement last time and have also toured with Belle & Sebastian's Stevie Jackson. We suspect there may be some collaborating going on that night too!

So there you go. Makes for some cracking nights as the night's close in. Get listening. Tickets for all shows and more links over on the Upcoming Shows page.
