Hi all.

Well we've been at it again. Get's addictive this band watching / gig booking melarky, and just when we think it's all about sorted and we can sit back and relax for a bit, some shows we just can't say no to arrive.

First up, we're totally made up to be welcoming stargazey, drone-pop outfit ECHO LAKE to York as part of their first UK tour proper on October 12th. Their album came out a couple of months ago and it's a joy, pretty much perfect dreamy pop on Slumberland / No Pain In Pop. You can stream it all on over on the upcoming shows tab to make up your own minds. Should be absolutely perfect in The Basement this one.

The following week, we're teaming up with the team behind DV8 Festival to bring O CHILDREN back to town after their triumphant second record. A giant leap forward in every way, the band have just hit their stride and Stereo should be the perfect room for them. Not many frontmen are likely to keep up with Tobi, but with BERLIN BLACK in support he'll be challenged to the max, a brilliant live act and one of two ace supports on the night.

We've added a couple of top support acts over the last couple of weeks, with Communion's BEAR'S DEN opening for Smoke Fairies and top regional talents EPILOGUES, ENDANGERED SPECIES, MISSING KIDS, THE RAN-TAN WALTZ and STINK TAPS all confirmed for some Please Please You fun.

We've a couple more tasty shows in the pipeline, one which certainly will happen on August 24th and others for later in the year, so keep popping your eyes over here, or sign up to the mailing list.

In the meantime, as the utterly awesome WUSSY have been asked to support THE AFGHAN WHIGS on tour in the States, what else to leave you with than this. Lovely.
